Not many of you might know me but I am a ex-hacker in skywars.com, since I really felt bad about hacking on the server I thought "hey, how about I leak a tactic that exposes around 80% of cheaters?" So here I am, So the tactic is very easy, if you ever suspect someone for cheating, msg them (Or get a mod to do that) and ask them to send you a "..." message, If you didn't know, hack clients have in-game commands built into them, only catch to that is that the commands always have to start with a "." instead of a "/", so if they try to type something like "..." the client will think they are trying to type a command and they wont be able to type "..." to you. So here you go, I hope you all expose a bunch of those annoying cheaters!
Not too helpful if the hacker knows what they are doing. - 1. Some clients may use a different prefix for their commands - 2. Most modern clients have a way to toggle off that prefix for commands or commands entirely - 3. A lot of clients also offer ways to change the prefix itself to something else for commands. All in all, not very helpful unless it is a rookie hacker on a less-than-ideal client.
I agree with some of what you are saying but not all of it, if a hacker is hacking on this server in the first place, they aren't going to be experienced in the slightest, When I was on the server (Before I got banned), I would use this strategy when I suspected players of hacking, It worked almost every time since the hackers on this server don't use commands because they are using free clients (well most of them are using free clients) and non of the free clients which #1 don't Rubberband on Skywars.com and #2 aren't freaking RATS offer a way to change the prefix to a different form, and of course, let's not forget the fact that cheaters like fast and action-filled games and if they are hacking on skywars.com which doesn't satisfy that desire, They aren't going to be very smart.
you cant advertise clients Anyone who knows a bit about clients can just identify the clinet this just by the click gui...
I usually use paid and private clients, I don't know about free clients enough to Recognize them by their click gui, unless we are talking about popular free clients
The only clients this would work on are wurst, sigma and other free clients and most people who use free clarinets on the server dont evne use chat. There are 2 regulars that i know on the server that actively use vape to ghost cheat.
Lmao what is this. Just look at them if they are movement hacking, its probably more reliable than that lol. Also maybe a /report in game feature would be easier and encourage more players to use rather than in the forums. Maybe it just notifies online mods?
