Introduction

Hey guys! I’m Novembree, though most people call me Nov or Bree. I’m a young adult from Canada who’s been playing Minecraft since 2014.

How long can you be active everyday? Here’s a comprehensive list of my availability:

Monday: 1-3 hours, afternoon-evening.

Tuesday: 1-2 hours, afternoon.

Wednesday: 1-3 hours, afternoon-evening.

Thursday: 1-3 hours, afternoon-evening.

Friday: 1-4 hours, afternoon-evening.

Saturday: 1-4 hours, afternoon-evening.

Sunday: Unavailable.

Do you have any previous experience in moderation? I have been an admin on a small survival Minecraft server consisting of around 50 players from 2017-2019 which is now no longer active. I also served as moderator on another small survival server averaging around 70 players in 2020 that is also no longer running.

How long have you been a member of SkyWars? I originally joined Skywars way back in early 2015 on another account (which I don’t access anymore). I stuck around for a number of months but eventually left the server sometime in 2016. In August of 2020 I returned on my current account Novembree and have been playing nearly every day since. I love the community here and that is ultimately what has made me stay.

Why do you think you should be a staff member?


PAST EXPERIENCE

My previous experience with moderating has taught me a number of lessons of how to interact, respond and help those that need assistance. I know how to recognize a number of hack clients due to said previous experience and I think it is important to maintain a level playing field for all involved. I also know the majority of chat commands that are required for moderating so I can quickly and accurately deal with any issues/reports that arise.


ACTIVITY

I have made a number of reports already on the Skywars forums and in-game that have resulted in bans or mutes. Finding hackers and reporting them is the best way to help out the staff so I do so as often as I can. I am also on the Skywars discord but I do admit I am not as active as I should be. I’m trying to get my activity up by talking in #general and #help more often.


FRIENDLY

I have been in this community for quite a while now and I enjoy interacting and making friends with the players. I’m always up for chat or to answer any questions newbies have. While I don’t enjoy tooting my own horn, I think I’m a pretty approachable, understanding person. Whenever I see familiar people in game I enjoy shouting them out in chat and saying “hey!”


UNDERSTANDING AND DETERMINATION

As a young adult, I consider myself to be quite mature when it comes to interacting and responding to others in-game and on the forums. I am an understanding and compassionate person and can usually see where people are coming from even if they’re making mistakes. I also understand that no matter the player’s experience or status-quo, each player’s punishments should be given out impartially without favouritism. With recent issues with hackers and spammers in-game, I would love to help out and make the game more enjoyable for everyone by getting such rule breakers, warned, banned or muted. I know I am not perfect, and I admit that sometimes I do have to step away from the keyboard while dealing with especially insistent, angry players. On previous servers I’ve helped out on I have experienced a wide variety of players and have determined the best ways to deal with hairy situations that can arise. I’m not afraid of asking for help and I think it would be great for my self-development to take advice from the best of the best, the current staff.
